Hej! Hi! Hello!

Welcome to my blog. Yes, I 've finally decided to start writing one, after more than half my exchange year has gone. Better late than never, right? So,  introduction time!

My name is Sofia, and yes I look like that. I keep the Viking headwear for special occasions, though. Well, if you're reading this, you'll probably know it already because you're a close friend/family member, but I am a 17-year old and currently an exchange student in  Karlstad, Sweden. I'm originally from Italy, but as you may have noticed I haven't made my mind up on which language to use to write this blog, so I'll probably switch between Italian, English and Swedish according to the mood I'm in (scusa, mamma). I'll try to translate the latter though!
I'm not gonna try and write everything that happens to me, let alone what's already happened the past six months. Rather, my updates will probably be sporadic at best, and extremely random (kinda like this one). Also, I think most of them, if not all, will be in Italian. As said (written, whatever), it's mainly my family reading, so I don't really see the point in writing in another language. But we'll see! Vi ska se.

This is my is my supersupermegahyper wonderful host family!
From the left: Jakob, Karin, Ellen, Joel, Filip and Olle

I can't even begin to explain how great they are and how lucky I've been. I'm immensely grateful to them, they're positively the best host family ever. I love them. A volte mi sento in colpa tanto sono fantastici, perché so che non riuscirò mai a ripagarli di tutto quello che hanno fatto per me, e mi sembra di comportarmi come un'ingrata.

This is the Karlsatd gang of the exchange students, or at least the original one. Now Moe from Japan and Kerem from Turkey (the first guy in our group, more or less) got thrown into the mix.
From left to right in the pic: Aliénor (France), moi, Laura (Belgium), Ulrike (Germany), Marie des Neiges (France).

Ulrike, probably my closest friend here. That day we had made pasta, because obviously I would make pasta for the first time in Sweden.

And I guess that's all, folks! For now. I'll try my best to keep you updated ;-)
